Fall 2023 scholarship winners announced

Congratulations to our three Fall 2023 scholarship winners!

Annette’s essay shared her progress during her freshman year at Wingate, her aspiration to attend nursing school, and her hope for connecting with peers who have also experienced loss.

Brianna’s song showcased the complexity of grief from her father’s passing — an outlet and talent she will pursue at the music program she starts in the Fall.

And Sarah’s goal to write and create realistic dialogues in movies at UNC Chapel Hill is motivated by her relationship with her late father.

All three students receive a $1,500 scholarship, a Stella plant, and will be onboarded to our pen-friend program in 2023.
