Mini Golf Gathering for Grievers was a hole-in-one!

On Saturday, June 4, 2022, Leaves from Stella hosted its first event: Mini Golf Gathering for Grievers. Attendees at our first in-person event at Stroke in Plaza Midwood had the opportunity to connect with fellow grievers while playing mini golf, making memorial crafts, and enjoying delicious food.

Our event is for and by forever grievers. Since Leaves from Stella’s inception, our tiny but mighty volunteer board of directors has been committed to making a lasting impact in the lives of bereaved young people transitioning to college or work life after the loss of a parent or sibling.

The parents, siblings, spouses, children, and friends we deeply miss have left an inexplicable void in our lives, and still, we came together with our irrevocably changed worlds, to create joyful memories with others who get it.

We are grateful to everyone who came out to our first Mini Golf Gathering for Grievers, to Upcycle Arts for their incredible crafts and supplies, the hosting venue team at Stroke, and we are indebted to the IRL Together Fund for investing in our mission and helping us making positive memories within the bereaved Charlotte community.

We also extend our heartfelt thanks to Brian Twitty for photography and Cierra Johnson for videography.
